Gery

Early Life and Wrestling Beginnings

Gery, a passionate Israeli wrestler, dedicated himself to bringing WWE broadcasts back to his home country. As the head of a wrestling fan club, he founded the Israel Professional Wrestling Association (IPWA) on October 17, 2001.

IPWA Debut and Championship Reign

Gery's debut match took place on February 14, 2002, where he faced Chris Corvin and suffered a defeat. The IPWA's first show, Summer Splash, was held on June 8 of the same year. In the main event, Chris Corvin and Bar Peled emerged victorious against Gery and Tzvika Messing.

Return to Competition and Championship Titles

After a year-long hiatus, IPWA resumed its operations on July 24, 2003 with a match for the vacant IPWA Championship between Gery and Joey Thaik. Gery prevailed and became the inaugural IPWA Champion. He successfully defended his title in a rematch at Summer Splash II four days later.

In 2004, Gery participated in a tournament for the IPWA Championship. He initially defeated Sharon Palti but lost the title to New York Rosenfield in the semifinals. On April 13, Gery defeated Joey Thaik by disqualification, earning him a #1 contendership for the championship. In the same show, he challenged Rosenfield and regained the title.

Further Title Reigns and Losses

Gery's second reign was short-lived as Joey Thaik defeated him at Summer Splash III on July 6. He regained his status as a contender at Passover Bash on April 28, 2005, where he triumphed in a triple threat match against Joey Thaik and Hawaii Allen. Gery captured the IPWA Championship for the third time.

After participating in matches for the television series "Makkat Medina" (Summer Splash IV), Gery lost his championship to Omri Balely in a four-way elimination match at IPWA 5-th Dimension Catch on November 17, 2005.

Partnership with Sharon Palti and Retirement

Gery defeated Noam Amit at WrestleNovella on January 10, 2006. At the subsequent show on February 28, Gery announced his retirement and made controversial statements about the gullibility of fans. Sharon Palti appeared, claiming he was not alone. They were scheduled to team up but walked out on their match against Rom Anger and Gluteus due to their poor coordination.

Formation of "Oligarchs" and Main Event Title Match

Later that night, Hawaii Allen defeated Omri Balely for the IPWA Championship. After the match, Gery and Sharon attacked the participants. They formed the "Oligarchs" stable with Jumping Lee and assaulted other wrestlers.

In the main event of a subsequent show, Gery faced Hawaii Allen for the IPWA Championship. Despite a close contest, Gery lost the match due to interference from Sharon Palti. The "Oligarchs" were eventually defeated, and Allen and Joey Thaik celebrated their victory in the ring.
