Dian Bachar: A Biography

Dian Bachar is an American actor of Czech origin, best known for his roles in the films of his friends Trey Parker and Matt Stone, including "Cannibal! The Musical," "Orgazmo," and especially for his role as Kenny "Squeak" Scolari in the film "BASEketball." He also appeared in several episodes of Parker and Stone's series "South Park."

Early Life and Career

Dian Bachar completed high school in Chatfield and studied at the University of Colorado in Boulder when he met Trey Parker and Matt Stone. They invited him to appear in their student film "Cannibal! The Musical." Later, Bachar portrayed Ben Chapleski, better known as Choda Boy, in Parker and Stone's film "Orgazmo," as well as various small roles in their short-lived series "Time Warped." Until 1997, Bachar lived with Parker and Stone in the same apartment.

Collaboration with Trey Parker and Matt Stone

When David Zucker's film "BASEketball" was in production, Parker personally asked Bachar to rewrite the script so that instead of two central characters on the team, there would be three. This allowed Bachar to participate in the film. He also appeared in the sitcom "Two Guys and a Girl" as Irene's boyfriend and in the film "Galaxy Quest" as an alien engineer; however, most of his scenes were cut and only appear in the full DVD version.

Thanks to his close friendship with Parker and Stone, Bachar has been involved in the creation of several episodes of their famous series, "South Park." He voiced the fake Mr. Hankey in "Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson!" and the game show host in "Cow Days." He also voiced Satan's former lover, Chris, in "Do the Handicapped Go to Hell?" / "Probably," and the clone of Towelie in "Towelie." Bachar also served as an assistant producer on the pilot episode of the series, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe," and voiced the game "Ultimate Fan Trivia" on the "South Park Studios" website.

Other Works

Bachar has appeared in short films such as "Shreev" and "Year of the Monkey." He also voiced the character Double 9 in the short film "Vote." Additionally, he plays the lead role in the internet series "Roommates: The Series." Bachar appeared in the music video for The Melvins' "The Talking Horse."
