Peruvian Feminist Writer and Politician

Diana Miloslavich Túpac Yupanqui is a prominent Peruvian writer, feminist, and political figure. Since February 8, 2022, she has served as Peru's Minister for Women and Vulnerable Populations.

Early Life and Education

Miloslavich studied at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM) in Lima. She dedicated 30 years of her life to working at the non-profit Peruvian Women's Center "Flora Tristán."

Literary Career

Miloslavich's literary endeavors began with her 1993 publication, "María Elena Moyano. Perú, en busca de una esperanza," a book honoring the late feminist María Elena Moyano. As a close friend of Moyano, Miloslavich compiled and edited the work. In 2000, an English translation titled "The Autobiography of María Elena Moyano: The Life and Death of a Peruvian Activist" was released. She followed up in 2012 with "Literatura de mujeres: una mirada desde el feminismo."

Political Career

On February 8, 2022, Miloslavich was appointed as Minister for Women and Vulnerable Populations under the government of Aníbal Torres. She succeeded Jhakeline Katy Ugarte Mamani in the role.
