Diego Buonanotte, born on April 19, 1988, is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Greek club AEK as an attacking midfielder. Standing at a diminutive 5 feet 4 inches tall, he holds the distinction of being the shortest footballer in the world.

Having honed his skills at River Plate, Buonanotte made his professional debut at the tender age of 17 in 2006 and quickly became a key player for the Argentinian powerhouse. In 2008, he played a pivotal role in River Plate's Clausura championship victory and emerged as the club's top scorer.

International Success

Buonanotte's talents were not limited to the domestic level. He represented Argentina at various youth levels and was a key member of the U-23 squad that won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In his Olympic debut against Serbia, Buonanotte scored a stunning free kick, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination.
