Biography of Dino Merlin
Dino Merlin is a Bosnian musician who gained international recognition for his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Born as Edin Dervišhalidović, he started his solo career in the 1990s.

Early Career
In 1983, Dino Merlin formed his own musical group called 'Merlin' and released five albums with the band from 1985 to 1990. As the lead vocalist, songwriter, and composer, he gained a following with albums such as 'Kokuzna vremena' (1985) and 'Peta strana svijeta' (1990).

Eurovision Song Contest
Dino Merlin's involvement in the Eurovision Song Contest began in 1993 when his song 'Sva bol svijeta' was performed by the group 'Fazla' representing Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1999, he participated again with French singer Beatrice, earning a 7th place with their song 'Putnici.'

In 2011, Dino Merlin was chosen to represent his country once more in the Eurovision Song Contest. With his performance of 'Love in Rewind,' he reached the finals and secured the 6th place.
Contributions to Bosnian Music
Dino Merlin's impact on Bosnian music extends beyond the Eurovision stage. In 1992, he wrote the lyrics for the anthem of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, titled 'Jedna si jedina.' This anthem remained the country's main song until 1998.
