Actor Dzhemal Tetruashvili, a Belarusian of Georgian descent, was born on April 3, 1975, in Minsk, Belarus. At the tender age of 3, his Georgian parents enrolled him in the renowned Belarusian ensemble "Rovesnik," where he spent 14 years honing his dance skills.

Education and Theatrical Career
Upon graduating from high school, Tetruashvili pursued his passion for the performing arts at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, graduating in 1995 with a degree in "Dramatic Theater and Cinema." For the next eight years, he graced the stages of several Minsk theaters.

Film and Television Career
Tetruashvili's film debut came in 1999 with the Belarusian-Russian television series "Accelerated Aid." His portrayal of a nurse garnered critical acclaim. He went on to appear in notable projects such as "Povodr" (2002), "Zakon" (2002), and "Nebosklon" (2003).

In 2003, Tetruashvili landed the iconic role of Ostap Bender in the musical "12 Chairs," marking his debut in Moscow and his first musical theater performance. His success in the production paved the way for him to relocate to the Russian capital and pursue a successful screen career.
Tetruashvili became a familiar face on popular television series, including "Landysh Serebristy" (2004), "Blizkie Lyudi" (2006), and adaptations of Tatiana Ustinova's detective novels. His breakout role came in 2011 with the comedy series "Svetofor" (Traffic Light), where he portrayed Pasha Kalachev, the character representing the "yellow light" of indecision.
Over the years, Tetruashvili has featured in a wide range of films and television shows, showcasing his versatility and talent. Notable works include "Freud's Method" (2012), "His Love" (2013), "The Three Musketeers" (2013), "My Favorite Ghost" (2018), and "Grand 2" (2019).
Personal Life
Tetruashvili's personal life has been kept largely private. It was revealed in 2016 that he had been secretly married to his longtime "Svetofor" co-star, Olga Medynich. The couple welcomed a son, Dimu, that year.
