Ji Djang was born on July 13, 1985, in Thiès, the third largest city in Senegal. She spent her early childhood in Senegal before moving to France and later the United States with her parents. Ji entered the modeling industry after being noticed by scouts from a modeling agency in Paris. From Paris, she ventured to Milan, one of the global fashion capitals, where she mastered the Italian language and later secured a job in New York. She initially signed a contract with 'Metropolitan Models' agency and later returned to Paris to shine on the European runways.
