Early Life and EducationDmitry Rybalevsky, a Ukrainian actor of theater and cinema, was born in Kyiv on May 29, 1983. In 2005, he graduated from the experimental course led by Yevheniya Hulyakina and Ninel Bychenko at the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Arts.
Theater Career
In 2007, Rybalevsky auditioned for the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater. After performing an excerpt from Volodymyr Vynnychenko's play "Brekhnia" and a vocal piece, the jury was equally split at six votes to six. The artistic directors made the final decision, with Bohdan Stupka paving the way for Rybalevsky's future. The same day, he began rehearsing for Linas Zaikauskas' production of "The Caucasian Chalk Circle."
Rybalevsky went on to become a highly respected ensemble member, performing in numerous productions at various theaters in Kyiv. His portrayal of a Red Army veteran in the joint project "Glory to Heroes!" brought him widespread acclaim.
Film Career
In contrast to his theater career, Rybalevsky rarely auditioned for film roles. Instead, he waited for invitations from directors who had observed his work on stage. He initially resisted stereotypical roles, such as gangsters and police officers, believing they lacked depth. However, he made an exception for Valentin Vasyanovich's "Atlantis," in which he played a drug-addicted character with a unique and compelling backstory.

Personal Life
Rybalevsky comes from an acting dynasty. His wife, Anastasiia Chumachenko, and father-in-law, Anatoliy Chumachenko, are both actors at the Ivan Franko Theater. The couple has four children: Margo, Mark, Marta, and Makar.
