Dmitry Ilyich Gordon, a singer, journalist, and writer, was born on October 21, 1967, in Kiev, Ukraine. He was raised in a Jewish family, the only child of his parents Ilya Yakovlevich Gordon and Mina Davidovna Gordon. Dmitry attended schools No. 205 and No. 194 in Kiev. During his childhood, he showed an interest in journalism and even conducted lessons for his classmates, evaluating their work.

At the age of 15, Dmitry graduated from school, having passed the exams externally. He then enrolled at the Kiev Institute of Civil Engineering, specializing in industrial and civil construction. Despite not being passionate about his studies, Dmitry successfully completed his education.

Dmitry's journalism career began during his second year at the institute when he started writing articles for leading Kiev newspapers. His first interview was with his idol, Leonid Buryak, a football player, which was published in a local newspaper. He continued to write for various Ukrainian newspapers and also collaborated with the popular newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda," which had a circulation of over 22 million copies.

In 1996, Dmitry started his television career with the program "V gostyakh u Dmitry Gordon" (Visiting Dmitry Gordon) on the "Pervyi natsionalnyi" channel. Dmitry also hosted the program on other channels such as Tonis and "Tsentralnyi Kanal."

Aside from his journalism career, Dmitry Gordon has been involved in politics. In 2014, he ran as an independent candidate for the Kiev City Council and was elected as a deputy. He was re-elected in the same district in October 2015. However, due to disagreements and dissatisfaction with the behavior of some deputies, Dmitry voluntarily resigned from his position in November 2016.

During the 2019 presidential elections, Dmitry actively supported the candidacy of Igor Smeshko, a former head of the Defense Ministry's Intelligence Department. He also managed the election campaign of Smeshko's party "Syla i Chest" during the early parliamentary elections in the same year. Although the party did not cross the necessary 5% threshold to enter the parliament, Smeshko's candidacy gained significant support.

Dmitry Gordon is also involved in business ventures. He has invested in real estate properties, including apartments and commercial buildings in Kiev. In 2020, he launched his online store called "Gordon Shop," offering various products with his image. He also introduced his own brand of chocolates called "Gordon in Chocolate."

Dmitry's YouTube channels, "Dmitry Gordon" and "V gostyakh u Gordona," have gained immense popularity with millions of subscribers. He has conducted over 1000 interviews, including ones with prominent figures such as former and current presidents, actors, writers, and athletes.
