The following year, Landertinger ascended to the podium again at the World Junior Championships, claiming gold in the relay and silver in the sprint. At the European Championships, he dominated with gold in the sprint and pursuit, along with silver in the relay.

Landertinger made his World Cup debut in the 2007-2008 season, where he showcased his talent with a podium finish in the relay. He also impressed in the individual races, ranking 18th, and the sprint, placing 12th. That same year, he earned additional silverware at the European Junior Championships, taking silver in both the relay and pursuit.
