Early Career
Donald Marron started his professional career at the age of 24 when he joined the company "New York Trust." In 1969, he co-founded "Data Resources Inc" with Otto Eckstein and served as the Chairman of the Board and CEO. In 1979, the decision was made to sell the company to the "McGraw-Hill Companies," after which Marron resigned.
Success at PaineWebber Group Inc
Following his departure from "Data Resources Inc," Marron joined "PaineWebber Group Inc." In 1980, he was appointed as the CEO of the company. He held the positions of Chairman and CEO of "PaineWebber Group Inc" until November 2000, contributing 20 years to the company. In the same year, the merger of "PaineWebber Group Inc" and "UBS AG" resulted in the creation of a new entity called "UBS America," with Marron serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
