Early Life and Education
Donald Wills Douglas obtained his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1914. After graduating, he began working at the Glenn Connecticut Aircraft Company.
Work at Glenn Martin
In 1916, Douglas joined Glenn Martin Company as the chief engineer, where he oversaw the development of the MB-1 bomber. His expertise and innovative designs contributed significantly to the company's success.
Founding of Davis-Douglas
