Early Life and Education

Christopher Judge was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. From a young age, he aspired to become an actor and studied drama in high school. Recognizing that sports could provide a path to his acting dreams, Judge pursued a football scholarship to the University of Oregon.

Football Career

Judge earned the scholarship and played defense for the Oregon Ducks from 1982 to 1985. He was a notable player, earning the Casanova Award in 1982.

Radio Contest and Move to Los Angeles

After winning a radio show competition in Oregon, Judge's talent was noticed by a regional FOX contest. He used this opportunity to gain an agent and relocate to Los Angeles.

Acting Debut and Early Roles

In 1989, Judge began his acting education at the Howard Fine Studio in Los Angeles. His early roles included appearances in "Bird on a Wire," "Boot Camp," "Neon Rider," and "MacGyver," alongside future "Stargate SG-1" co-star Richard Dean Anderson.

Television Work and Supporting Roles

Throughout the 1990s, Judge became a ubiquitous presence on television. He had guest roles in shows such as "21 Jump Street," "Prince of Bel-Air," "Home Party II," and "Sirens."

Stargate SG-1 and Prominence

Judge's most notable role came in 1997 as Teal'c in the television series "Stargate SG-1." Of all the main cast members, Judge appeared in nearly every episode of the series.

Guest Roles and Voice Acting

Following "Stargate SG-1," Judge continued to appear in guest roles in "Stargate Atlantis," "Andromeda," as well as films like "Snow Dogs" and "Dog Park." He also provided voice work for animated series and video games, including "X-Men: Evolution" and "Stargate SG-1: The Alliance."

Writing and Production

Judge wrote four episodes of "Stargate SG-1": "The Warrior" (S5E18), "Metamorphosis" (S6E19), "Birthright" (S7E10), and "Sacrifices" (S8E09). After the show's conclusion, he worked as a writer on the series "Dark Angel."

Awards and Recognition

In 2002, Judge was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Teal'c in "Stargate SG-1."

Personal Life and Hobbies
