Biography of Ece Ege

Ece Ege is a French-Turkish fashion designer, couturier, and founder of two lines of fashionable ready-to-wear clothing. She was born in Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Republic. Ece spent her youth with her father, a jeweler, in the center of the ancient city, which had a rich history and architecture. She helped her father in his shop and explored her hometown, learning its secrets and gaining inspiration for her future work.

After graduating from university with honors, Ece traveled the world for several years, studying the culture and fashion of different civilizations, until she settled in Paris and established her own fashion studio. She released her first collection in 1991, consisting of thirteen white poplin shirts, all designed for herself. The success of her debut project led to the opening of her own ready-to-wear line, "DICE KAYEK," in 1992.

Over time, Ece's designs, which featured figure-hiding suits, left room for imagination, and sharply contrasted with tight-fitting fashion trends, remained just as relevant. Blouses with small shirts, fitted suits, and dresses with wide pants - most of Ece's creations are executed in this style. Currently, she actively experiments, blending classic, traditional solutions with modern trends, while still maintaining the charm of classic luxury. Each suit she designs is a unique combination of seams, folds, and other elegant details created by her unconventional imagination.

Soon after, a second clothing line followed. In 1994, Ece introduced her project "everydayX," offering comfortable and colorful clothes at affordable prices for less formal occasions.

Her workshop is designed in the style of the Eiffel Tower. It is here that the collective work of seamstresses, tailors, and designers brings forth the products of her two fashion lines, solidifying Ece's reputation worldwide. Her products are sold in France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. The high quality of her products and their reasonably affordable prices, not only by fashion industry standards, have brought her well-deserved fame. In 2003, this fame was officially recognized when Ece received the "Femme en Or" award as the most successful woman in France.
