Eddie Chambers is an American professional boxer who competes in the super heavyweight division. He began his career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Early Career

Eddie started his professional boxing journey in 2000 at the age of eighteen. For the first five years, he fought mostly unknown opponents. By 2005, he significantly improved his professional level and faced fighters like Ross Puritty and Robert Hawkins.

Rising to Prominence

In 2006, Eddie reached a higher level by defeating the legendary Ed Mahoone and then facing renowned boxer Dominick Jenkins. In May 2007, Chambers halted Derek Rossi's winning streak (fifteen wins and zero losses) and then defeated Dominick Guinn from 'Shobox'. Later that year, Eddie participated in the IBF four-man elimination tournament, where the winner would face the champion at the time, Vladimir Klitschko. Chambers defeated Kelvin Brock in the semifinals but lost to Alexander Povetkin.

Continued Success

After the fight with Povetkin, Chambers won three matches against tough opponents, including Rafael Butler. On March 27, 2009, he faced Samuel Peter and narrowly lost by a majority decision. Eddie bounced back with a victory against Alexander Dimitrenko, paving his way to challenge Vladimir Klitschko for the WBO heavyweight championship. On March 20, 2010, Chambers fought Klitschko in Düsseldorf, Germany. Klitschko emerged victorious, knocking out Chambers with five seconds remaining in the final round. Despite criticism from his trainer, Emmanuel Steward, Klitschko's dominance was evident throughout the fight.
