Eddie Lacy (full name: Eddie Darwin Lacy Jr.) is an American football player who plays as a running back for the popular team 'Green Bay Packers'. Before joining the National Football League (NFL), Eddie represented the football team of the University of Alabama - 'Alabama Crimson Tide'.

Eddie Lacy

Born on June 2, 1990, in Gretna, Louisiana, Eddie Lacy developed a passion for American football from a young age. He began playing for the Dutchtown High School team and quickly became a leader. In his sophomore year, he became one of the top players in the state, rushing for over 1200 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns. The following year, he improved his performance to 1800 yards and 27 touchdowns. These impressive stats did not go unnoticed by football fans, as journalists and sports analysts from Rivals.com ranked him 13th among the best young running backs in the United States and 116th among the most promising players in the country.

After high school, Eddie Lacy considered offers from dozens of colleges and universities across the country. However, he decided to continue his career at the famous University of Alabama's football team, the 'Alabama Crimson Tide', which is one of the strongest and most renowned teams in the collegiate league.

His university career exceeded all expectations. From the first few months, he seamlessly integrated into the football team and won the BCS National Championship three times over the next four years. In his final game in 2013, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

In the same year, immediately after graduation, Eddie Lacy decided to try his luck in the NFL Draft. Sports analysts were confident that he would sign with a team in need of a good running back, and their predictions came true when the 'Green Bay Packers' scouts signed Lacy as the 61st overall pick. The player himself admitted that he was extremely happy with this choice, as he had been a passionate follower of the 'Green Bay Packers' since childhood, a team that has always been at the forefront of the national league.

Interestingly, the start of the season was extremely unlucky for Eddie. In a match against the 'Washington Redskins', he suffered a concussion and only returned to the field after a few games, at the beginning of October. However, for the rest of the season, Lacy showcased such a high level of play that the entire football world took notice. In a game against the 'Chicago Bears', Eddie broke his record by rushing for over 150 yards. He finished his rookie season with over 1200 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning him the title of NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

In the 2014 season, Eddie started in the starting lineup for the 'Green Bay Packers' and, following the tradition, he suffered a concussion in the first game against the 'Seattle Seahawks'. Subsequently, Lacy appeared on the field wearing a new helmet model from 'Riddell', a company that uses more flexible materials to reduce the risk of head injuries.
