Early Life and EducationLevon Julfalakyan was born in Armenia and graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute in 1968, earning an engineering degree in construction.
Professional Career
Artistic and Industrial ExperienceFrom 1959 to 1965, Julfalakyan worked as a master at the Artistic and Industrial Plant of the Armenian Theater Society. He later became chief engineer from 1965 to 1967 and acting director from 1967 to 1974.
Leadership in the Jewelry Industry
In 1976, Julfalakyan became the general director of the "Armgems" Association, a position he held until 1996. Under his leadership, the association grew into a prominent jewelry industry player.
Political Career
Business and Public ServiceFrom 2000 onwards, Julfalakyan served as chairman of the board of directors of "Yerevan Microbus UAZ" JSC and chairman of "Yerevan UAZ" CJSC. In 2003, he was elected as a member of parliament, representing the "Orinats Yerkir" party.
2006 Parliamentary Return and Committee Membership
Re-elected to parliament in 2006, Julfalakyan became a member of the Standing Committee on Legal and State Affairs. During this term, he held a non-partisan position.
