Edwin Escobar - Guinness World Record Holder
Edwin Escobar is a Guinness World Record holder for visiting the most capital cities on a motorcycle. His journey took him through all the capital cities of Central America, making it a continuous and remarkable adventure. While there are numerous geographical records in the Guinness World Records, such as Jim Rogers and Paige Parker who visited 111 countries by car, and John Bougen and James Irving who traveled to 191 sovereign states in 167 days, 15 hours, and 39 minutes, Edwin Escobar's record stands out for his unique mode of transportation.

Unlike others who used planes or cars, Edwin traveled across Central America on his motorcycle. He visited capital cities such as San Jose in Costa Rica, Managua in Nicaragua, Tegucigalpa in Honduras, San Salvador in El Salvador, and Guatemala City in Guatemala. These cities make up the geography of Escobar's extraordinary journey. It was this accomplishment that officially registered his record in the Guinness World Records, as nobody had previously attempted such a feat on a motorcycle.
Edwin Escobar is also known as a student at Loyola University New Orleans, where he studies business administration. He meticulously planned his trip, with the main objective of raising funds for impoverished families in El Salvador. Riding on his BMW R1200GS Adventure, Edwin covered nearly 1,400 kilometers almost non-stop.
Through his journey, Edwin managed to raise $52,000, which was used to provide 260 poor Salvadoran families with a rooster and nine hens each. Additionally, these families received free farming courses to help them start their own agricultural ventures. Escobar considers his experience to be unique and a true test of both physical and mental strength. He takes immense pride in achieving a world record and being able to participate in a charitable cause to aid those in need.
