Jonas Žukauskas, a former Lithuanian footballer, represented his nation on the international stage with a single appearance for the national team. Throughout his career, he primarily plied his trade in Lithuanian clubs.
Beginnings in Klaipėda (1990-1995)
Žukauskas embarked on his football journey with FK Atlantas in his hometown of Klaipėda. As a promising young talent, he honed his skills with the club for several years.
Move to Kareda (1995-1997)
In 1995, Žukauskas transferred to FK Kareda, which provided him with a platform to showcase his abilities in the Lithuanian league. He spent two seasons with the club, contributing to its performances.
A Brief Russian Adventure (1998)
In 1998, Žukauskas ventured outside of Lithuania by joining Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala. He featured in all 42 matches in the Russian First Division and played in the Russian Cup.
Return to Lithuania (1999-2006)
After his stint in Russia, Žukauskas returned to Lithuania and played for FK Metallurg. In 2003, he rejoined FK Atlantas, where he played for the next three seasons. He concluded his career with FK Šiauliai in 2006.
International Appearance
Despite his prolific club career, Žukauskas made only one appearance for the Lithuanian national team. He earned his cap in a friendly match against Poland in 2003.
