Eion Francis Hamilton Bailey, born on June 8, 1976, in Santa Ynez Valley, California, is an American actor. Despite his initial struggles in school, Bailey found his passion for acting when he joined a drama club. He began performing in school plays and eventually enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

Bailey also briefly attended Santa Barbara City College. In 2000, he landed a small role in Cameron Crowe's musical drama "Almost Famous," playing an editor for Rolling Stone magazine. Bailey went on to appear in films such as "The Young Unknowns," "The Scoundrel's Wife," "Mindhunters," and "Sexual Life."

On television, Bailey appeared in the series "Significant Others" and "Dawson's Creek." However, his most notable role came in the critically acclaimed miniseries "Band of Brothers," produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. He portrayed Private First Class David Kenyon Webster in the series.

Bailey also played himself in the television drama "And Starring Pancho Villa," which starred Antonio Banderas. On stage, he appeared in Peter Shaffer's psychological drama "Equus" at the Pasadena Playhouse and performed in various other productions, including "Spoon River Anthology," "Look Homeward, Angel," and "Dinner at Eight" at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Bailey also acted in plays such as "Desire and I" at the Access Theatre Santa Barbara and "Icarus' Mother" at the Studio Theatre with the City College of Santa Barbara's acting troupe.

In 2007, Bailey received a daytime Emmy Award for his performance in the dramedy "Life of the Party." He continued to make guest appearances on shows like "Dawson's Creek" and "ER." In 2010, he began portraying Ben Mercer, the ex-boyfriend of the main character Annie Walker, in the series "Covert Affairs." Mercer became a target of the CIA before returning to the agency at the end of the first season.

In 2011, Bailey appeared in the fantasy TV series "Once Upon a Time," playing the dual role of Pinocchio/August Wayne Booth. On May 1, 2013, he made a guest appearance in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" as Frank Patterson, a war veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder, who was a key witness in a sexual assault investigation.

Outside of acting, Bailey created the reality TV show "Imagine This! TV" after witnessing a group of children walking nearly 39 kilometers to get to school in Peru. Each episode features a weekly report on the progress of a charitable project. The pilot episode, "Sacred Valley of Peru," was released in 2009.
