Biography of Ekaterina Volkova

Ekaterina Volkova is a Russian actress, known for her roles in various television series and films. She was born in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. From a young age, Ekaterina showed artistic abilities and would often entertain people by singing, dancing, and reciting poetry at her aunt's hair salon. People would often comment that she would become an actress one day. However, it wasn't until her senior years of high school that Ekaterina seriously considered pursuing acting as a career.

Despite her passion for acting, Ekaterina's parents were skeptical of her choice. They believed that theater schools had fierce competition and wanted her to choose a more stable profession. Nevertheless, Ekaterina's belief in herself led her to enroll in the famous M.S. Shchepkin Theater School, which she successfully graduated from in 2003.

After completing her studies, Ekaterina joined the troupe of the State Film Actor's Theater. She appeared in various plays such as "Rovno v Sem" by L. Vernyayev, "Klochki po Zakoulchkam" by Grigory Oster, "Measure for Measure" by Shakespeare, "Sobaka na Sene" by Lope de Vega, "Bednyy Piero" by Campanile, "All About Eve" by Mary Orr, and "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by Hoffmann.

Seeing her success in the acting profession, Ekaterina's parents finally accepted her choice. However, her father persuaded her to obtain a second degree as a backup plan due to the instability of an acting career. Following their advice, Ekaterina Volkova graduated from the Budget and Treasury Academy of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation in 2006.

Ekaterina's acting career gained popularity with her role in the TV series "Voroniny," where she played the lead character. This role was not easily obtained, as she initially faced rejection in the casting process. However, she eventually secured the role, which proved to be a perfect fit for her. Today, it is difficult to imagine anyone else portraying the character of Vera Voronina.

Apart from the TV series, Ekaterina Volkova also appeared in films such as "Agentstvo Alibi," "Ya Ostayus'," "Kapitanskie Deti," and "Montekristo."

In her personal life, Ekaterina has been in a relationship with dancer Andrey Karpov, known for his participation in the show "Tantsy so Zvezdami" (Dancing with the Stars). They were introduced by Darya Sagalova and have been inseparable ever since. The couple is planning to marry in the summer of 2010.
