Biography of Eleanor Glinn
Eleanor Glinn, also known simply as Eleanor, is a British singer, songwriter, record producer, belly dancer, musician, architect, builder, carpenter, designer, model, actress, choreographer, athlete, philanthropist, and owner of a record label. She was born on March 28, 1986, in Oxford and grew up in the Cowley area.

Early Influences
From a young age, Eleanor was influenced by her father's rock band called 'Eden', English folklore, British history, fantasy and mythology, and English bands such as 'Black Sabbath', 'Adam and the Ants', 'Rainbow', 'Deep Purple', and 'Black Widow'. These early interests shaped her diverse range of passions.
A Creative Child
Eleanor grew up as a creative child, dreaming of adventures, drawing treasure maps, burying time capsules in the garden, making videos with friends, and putting on performances for adults. She even sold cherries that she picked, cleaned, and packaged in the garden. In primary school, Eleanor wrote songs, scripts, and plays, made her own short films, acted in them, and directed plays. Many of these early works were later revisited, and most of her songs made it onto her albums.
A Multifaceted Talent
Eleanor participated in gymnastics, athletics, ballet, and various dance styles. As she grew older, she formed her first all-girl group called 'Sunset', later renamed as 'The Kittens'. The group had constantly changing members but continued to perform at local leisure centers and churches. Eleanor sent performance videos of the group to different labels, including 'Virgin'. Interestingly, her music career began with classical piano lessons in Oxfordshire and, by 2010, had evolved into being involved in multiple musical projects simultaneously.
Current Endeavors
Today, Eleanor is the lead vocalist and composer in an Oxfordshire-based group that plays alternative gothic-folk-rock-pop. She frequently collaborates with local artists and performs at local venues. In 2006, she formed her first instrumental group (all male musicians except for herself) and spent most of 2009 performing original material in the Oxfordshire area. Her first band, 'Big Bad City', later changed its name to 'Swords of Tomorrow' or 'Eleanor and The Swords of Tomorrow'. Her company, 'EleanoRecords', manages the affairs of not only her own group but also several other local collectives, including 'Sittaciforme', 'Thorn', 'Precious Metal', 'The Love Assassins', and 'Kilter'.
Involvement in Fashion and Philanthropy
As a model, Eleanor has participated in numerous local and national charity fashion shows and events. In the year she wore the 'Miss England' crown, Eleanor launched a campaign to exclude size zero models from London Fashion Week. In Oxfordshire, she manages an alternative modeling agency. In addition to her involvement in the fashion industry, Eleanor works in real estate, tourism, clothing production, and engages in charitable activities.
