Marina Raskova
Early Life and EducationMarina Raskova was born on March 10, 1973, in Moscow, Russia. Her father, Igor Yevgenievich Goryayev, was a radio journalist who worked for Gosteleradio USSR's Yugoslav editorial office. Her mother, Tatyana Mikhailovna Goryaeva, is a doctor of historical sciences and director of the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art.
From 1988 to 1990, Raskova participated in a literary circle led by writer, educator, and journalist Lyubov Rafailovna Cabo.
Career in Journalism
In 1990, Raskova began her journalism career as a referent for the Main Editorial Office of Information and Propaganda of the Central Broadcasting for Foreign Countries of Gosteleradio USSR.
In 1996, she graduated from the Moscow Historical-Archival Institute (MGI AI) with a degree in "historian-archivist."
From 1993 to 1997, Raskova worked as a correspondent for "Radio Russia."
"Vesti" and Beyond
From 1997 to 1999, she was a special correspondent for "Vesti," authoring and hosting the daily segment "News from Newspapers." In 1999, she became a host of the news program "Vesti."
Over the years, Raskova has hosted various editions of "Vesti," including "Vesti +" and "Vesti-Moscow." In 2012, she became a co-host of "Vesti" at 17:00 with Igor Kozhevin.
In 2016, Raskova became the host of "Vesti in 20:00" for Siberia and the Urals. However, in 2020, she was stranded in Italy due to the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing her to temporarily pause her hosting duties.

Personal Life
In 2003, Raskova met lawyer Massimo Mazza at the Italian resort of Portofino. They married in Moscow in 2004. In 2009, they welcomed their son, Gianluca, in Milan.
