Biography of Isabella of Bourbon

Isabella of Bourbon was a French princess and the first wife of Philip IV, the King of Spain and Portugal. She was born as the eldest daughter of King Henry IV and Marie de' Medici. Isabella married Philip IV on October 8, 1615, in Bordeaux, France.

During their marriage, Isabella gave birth to eight children, but only their youngest daughter, Maria Theresa, reached adulthood and later became the wife of King Louis XIV of France.
