Biography of Elizabeth Hulette
Elizabeth Ann Hulette was born on November 19, 1960. She gained worldwide fame as an American professional wrestling manager in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and later in the WCW promotion in the mid-1990s.
Introduction to WWF
In 1985, the WWF announced the selection of a new manager for wrestler Randy Savage. On July 30 of the same year, the managers anxiously awaited Savage's decision, hoping that he would choose one of them. However, Savage thanked all the candidates and asked his new manager to come to the ring. The host, Bruno Sammartino, speculated that it must be some kind of movie star. But Savage introduced a certain Miss Elizabeth, who debuted in WWF on August 24 in the show "WWF Prime Time Wrestling". This was the first time Hulette received serious attention, as she became the love interest of George Steele, angering Savage and leading to a series of memorable matches. Their year-long rivalry in the ring was one of the most popular in WWF in the 1980s. Elizabeth also became a source of conflict between Hulk Hogan and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.
Achievements in WWF
The year 1988 was a turning point for Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. Hogan lost the WWF World Champion title in a match against Andre the Giant, who in turn lost the title to "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase by pre-match agreement. Finally, at the "WrestleMania IV" tournament, a new champion was crowned - Savage, who defeated DiBiase in the finals. At "WrestleMania V," Savage, accusing Hogan of "lusting after Elizabeth," waited to see whose corner Elizabeth would be in when the two wrestlers faced off. The female manager declared her neutral position, but during the match, she stood on Hogan's side and then on Savage's side, before eventually leaving the ring. As a result, Hogan defeated Savage to become the WWF Heavyweight Champion.
WCW and Later Life
After "WrestleMania V," Savage released Elizabeth from her duties and preferred Sherri Martel. The couple reunited at "WrestleMania VII" when Savage lost to The Ultimate Warrior (Jim Hellwig). Sherri began attacking the defeated wrestler, but Elizabeth, who was sitting in the front row, jumped into the ring, grabbed Martel by the hair, and threw her out of the combat zone. The reconciled partners officially got married on December 30, 1984. However, during the wedding celebration, Hulette uncovered one of the gifts, which turned out to be a live snake, and Jake "The Snake" Roberts and The Undertaker caused a riot and attacked Savage. This marked the beginning of a feud between Jake and Randy, in which Elizabeth played a central role once again.
Although their marriage later ended, Hulette continued to manage Savage's affairs in January 1996 until she moved on to other wrestlers, including Lex Luger. For a brief period from 1997 to 1999, she was the wife of South Florida prosecutor, Carrie Lubinsky. When Hulette left the WCW promotion in April 2000, her relationship with Luger reached a new level, and according to Elizabeth's friends, the couple planned to marry soon.
Tragic Death
In 2003, reports emerged that Luger had beaten Elizabeth in the garage of their townhouse in Marietta. She had two bruises under her eyes, a lump on her head, and a split lip. Shortly after, Luger was arrested for DUI, and a 9mm gun was found in his car. Elizabeth, who was with him at the time of the arrest, was sent home in a taxi. On May 1, 2003, Luger called an ambulance, reporting that Elizabeth was not breathing. She did not respond to first aid, and the paramedics took her to the hospital, where her death was confirmed. The cause of her death was acute intoxication. After a search of Luger's house, he was arrested for possession of anabolic steroids, synthetic growth hormones, testosterone, alprazolam, OxyContin, and temazepam. He was fined $1000 and received a five-year probation after pleading guilty.
