Early Life and EducationCarmine 'Mino' Raiola was born on November 4, 1967, in Nocera Inferiore, Italy. In 1968, his family relocated to Haarlem, Netherlands, where Raiola's father established a successful restaurant business. Raiola worked as a waiter during his youth while pursuing a law degree. He became fluent in seven languages: Italian, English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Dutch.
Transition to Football
Raiola's passion for football led him to play for Haarlem's youth team until 1987. He later became a youth coach but quickly realized his calling as a football agent. Joining Sports Promotions, Raiola facilitated the transfers of several top Dutch players to Italian clubs, including Bryan Roy, Marciano Vink, Wim Jonk, and Dennis Bergkamp.
