Early Life and Education
Elle Kull was born on January 5, 1952, in Haapsalu, Estonia. In 1974, she graduated with honors from the Tallinn State Conservatory's acting faculty, where she studied under the guidance of Grigory Kromanov and Mikk Mikiver.
Acting Career
From 1974 to 2003, Kull graced the stage of the Estonian Drama Theater. Her versatility and talent earned her the title of Merited Artist of the Estonian SSR in 1982. She co-starred with her sister, Laida Kull, in the acclaimed film "Holy Susanna or the Workshop School."
Political Career
Kull's public service began in 2003, when she was elected to the Riigikogu, the Estonian parliament. She has served on the Commission on Culture since then. In 2009, she was re-elected to the Riigikogu.
UNICEF and Advocacy
Kull has been a tireless advocate for children. Since 1998, she has served as President of the Estonian National Committee for UNICEF. She is passionate about promoting the well-being and rights of children in Estonia and internationally.
Family
Kull is married to Estonian actor and director Ago-Endrik Kerge. They have three children: a son and two daughters.
Awards and Recognition
Elle Kull's contributions to the arts and public service have been widely recognized. She earned the Prize for Best Female Role for her performance in "Spring in the Forest" at the Chisinau Film Festival in 1975. In 2002, she received the Tallinn City Award for Merit. In 2004, she was honored with the Order of the White Star, Fourth Class.
