Elvira Savino: A Political Leader with a Multifaceted Career

Early Life and Education

Elvira Savino, an Italian politician, was born in Italy. She graduated from the University of Bari in 2003 with a degree in Political Economy. She continued her education at the Bari Chamber of Commerce, where she studied business processes, models of excellence, and ethical leadership. In Rome, she obtained a Master's degree in European Public Relations.

Corporate Experience

From 2004, Savino worked in various international companies, including as an assistant project manager at Business International, a subsidiary of Fazi Editore. She later joined UDC as a communications associate.

Entry into Politics

In 2008, Savino was elected to the Italian Chamber of Deputies for the People of Freedom party. She was re-elected in 2013 under the same party. In 2013, the People of Freedom party dissolved, leading Savino to join the Forward Italy party.

Parliamentary Roles

Savino has held various roles within the Italian Parliament. She currently serves as Secretary of the XIV Commission (European Union) since July 2015. Previously, she worked in the VI (Finance) and XII (Social Affairs) Commissions.

Personal Life

Elvira Savino married in September 2008. Notably, Silvio Berlusconi, the former Prime Minister of Italy, served as her wedding witness.
