Early Life and Education

Emily Bader, an American actress, was born on November 8, 1996, in Temecula, California. Little information is available about her childhood, but it is known that she pursued a degree in Theatre Arts at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. During her studies, Bader performed in plays such as William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (as Hermia) and Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters" (as Irina). Her professional stage debut came at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles in the production "Our Very Own Carlin McCullough."

Theatrical Beginnings

Bader's first credited acting role was in the 2016 television series "Married by Mistake," where she played Shannon Ferris. In the same year, she appeared in the short film "Aimee" as Margaret, directed and written by Tammy-Anne Fortuine and co-starring Joey Botweill and Matthew J. Evans. Also in 2016, Bader starred as Marisa in the television film "Instaland," a production supported by the John Templeton Foundation, which funds projects exploring science and religion.

Transition to Television

Following her theatrical debut, Bader began securing minor roles in various television series. In 2017, she appeared in episodes of "My Crazy Sex," "Game Shakers," and "Danger Henry." She also played Theresa in the thriller film "The Stalker Club," directed by Doug Campbell and starring Kelsea Stranahan and GT Neal.

Feature Film Appearances

In 2019, Bader starred in the short film "Trust," based on true events, as Lena, a young Jewish woman whose ethnic identity is questioned by a Nazi lieutenant. The project also featured Greg Kriek and Abigail Kochanus. In 2020, Bader appeared as the young Marlane in the film "Anonymous Killers" and as Chloe in the reboot of the television series "Charmed" (2018-2022). She also took on the role of Margo in "Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin" (2021).

Recent Projects

Bader continues to build her acting career. In the crime drama "Fresh Kills," released on June 14, 2024, she plays Rosa, one of the daughters of New York mobster Joe Larusso, alongside Odessa A'zion as her on-screen sister. The actresses have commented on how they bonded in their roles.

On June 27, 2024, the streaming series "My Lady Jane" premiered on Prime Video, offering a fictionalized retelling of the story of Lady Jane Grey, known as the "Nine Days' Queen" who reigned from July 10-19, 1553, after the death of King Edward VI. Bader stars as Lady Jane, who, unlike in historical accounts, survives her youth and embarks on a series of adventures. "My Lady Jane" aims not to adhere strictly to historical detail, but rather presents an alternate universe with modern music and slang. Bader told Elle Canada that she was drawn to the project's genre-blending and sharp dialogue.
