Early Life and Education
Emma Bell was born in Woodstown, New Jersey and grew up in Readington Township, New Jersey. At the age of 16, she moved to New York City, where she attended an acting school in Manhattan. Her mother worked as a producer on the show '60 Minutes,' while her father, Rob Bell, owned a video company in Lambertville, New Jersey.
Acting Career
Bell's acting career began with off-Broadway cabaret shows in New York City, where she first performed at the age of 12. This early experience allowed her to develop her acting abilities and prepare for her future career. Before her active film and television roles, Bell continued to practice on stage.
In 2004, Bell made her television debut in an episode of the NBC series 'Third Watch.' She later appeared in the series 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' and landed the lead role in the short-lived WB series 'The Bedford Diaries.' She also had small roles in popular shows such as 'Supernatural,' 'Law & Order,' and 'CSI: Miami.'
Through auditions and perseverance, Bell was able to secure roles in larger film projects. Her first major film role was in the 2007 sports drama 'Gracie.' In 2011, Bell starred in the fifth installment of the 'Final Destination' film series. She also appeared in the pilot episode of the series 'Reconstruction,' but the show did not move forward. Similarly, the series 'Midnight Sun,' in which Bell had a role in the pilot episode, did not progress.
