Emma Wareus is a former beauty pageant contestant and the second runner-up in the Miss World 2010 competition. Born in 1990 in Botswana, Emma showed great promise from a young age. She participated in various national beauty pageants, including Miss Botswana, where she secured second place a year before her major success.

In May 2010, at the age of 19, Emma won the Miss Botswana title, earning the opportunity to represent her country at the international stage. Her remarkable beauty, intelligence, and confidence caught the attention of the judges and audience alike. On October 30, 2010, at the Miss World pageant held in Sanya, China, Emma was declared the First Runner-Up, making history as the highest-placed contestant from Botswana in the competition's history. Only one other participant from Botswana, Mpule Kwelagobe, had achieved a similar feat when she won the Miss Universe title in 1999.

Apart from her beauty pageant career, Emma is a dedicated individual who works as an administrative assistant while pursuing a bachelor's degree in social sciences. Fluent in Setswana, English, and French, she also possesses basic knowledge of Sesotho and Afrikaans, two commonly spoken languages in southern Africa. Emma lives by the motto "Live, Learn, Laugh, and Love," embodying strength, pride, independence, resilience, and a charismatic smile.

Standing at 176 cm tall, Emma is not only a charismatic beauty but also a talented sportswoman. She has a passion for poetry, contemporary music genres like soul, and dancing. Her favorite book, "Shades" by South African author Marguerite Poland, holds a special place in her heart. Emma is also a talented storyteller, poet, and performer, captivating audiences with her enchanting performances.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Emma enjoys indulging in various cuisines from around the world, appreciating the flavors and tastes they offer. However, she holds a special love for traditional Botswana dishes, particularly morogo, an African spinach dish. Growing up in a household with dogs, Emma has a fondness for German Shepherds.

Before her success as the second runner-up in Miss World 2010, Emma's most memorable day was receiving an invitation to represent Botswana at the African Youth Summit. This summit aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and address the challenges faced by African youth. Emma felt immense pride in carrying her country's flag at such a prestigious event.
