Early Life and Juventus Foundation
Son of a Bicycle Shop OwnerGiuseppe Canfari was born into a family of bicycle shop owners. Along with his brother, Eugenio, he initially pursued gymnastics and cycling. However, his passion for football eventually took over.
Founding Member and Second President of Juventus
In 1897, Canfari became one of the 30 founding members of Juventus. He served as the club's second president from 1898 to 1901, following his brother Eugenio.
Playing Career
Juventus BeginningsCanfari made his debut for Juventus on March 11, 1900, in a 0-1 defeat against Torinese. He continued to play for the club until 1903, making 24 appearances.
Move to AC Milan
In 1903, Canfari left Juventus for AC Milan. He initially served as the club's vice-president but later returned to the pitch for one month. He made his Milan debut on March 6, 1904, and played his last game against Juventus on March 20, 1904.

Football RefereeFrom 1913 to 1914, Canfari worked as a football referee.
Military Service
During World War I, Canfari served as a captain in the infantry battalion.
Death in War
