Early Life and Education

Enrico Corradini was born on July 20, 1865, in Montelupo Fiorentino, Italy.

Founding of "Il Regno"

In 1903, Corradini co-founded the right-wing newspaper "Il Regno" with Giovanni Papini, Vilfredo Pareto, and Giuseppe Prezzolini.

Nationalist Movement

In 1910, Corradini helped establish the Italian Nationalist Association. He became one of its leaders and advocated for radical and irredentist ideas that later aligned with fascism.

Support for the Tripolitanian War

Corradini gained prominence with his political essays supporting Italy's actions in the Tripolitanian War. In "Il Desiderio d'Italia" and "Il Momento di Tripoli," he argued for Italy's expansionism.

"L'Idea Nazionale"

Corradini founded the weekly publication "L'Idea Nazionale" with Alfredo Rocco and Luigi Federzoni. It promoted militaristic and nationalist views and supported Italy's involvement in World War I.

Proletarian Nationalism

In 1919, Corradini put forth the concept of "proletarian nationalism," recognizing the proletariat as Italy's most influential class.

Alliance with the Fascists

After the war, Corradini played a role in merging the Italian Nationalist Association with the National Fascist Party. He became a supporter of Benito Mussolini's rise to power.
