Eric Dent is an American scholar who specializes in the theory of organizational processes and organizational behavior, which are highly important sciences recommended for any serious organization leader to study. He is widely regarded as one of the leading experts in the field of organizational process theory.
Early Life and Education
Eric Dent was born in Easton, Pennsylvania. His father was an employee of IBM, and as a result, his family moved several times before finally settling in Boca Raton, Florida. Dent obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer engineering from Emory University.
Career
After completing his education, Dent moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland, where he joined IBM to develop communication systems for satellites. He later transitioned to the role of Vice President at the consulting firm Todd Organization. As the company's Technical Director, Dent successfully executed several government contracts, totaling more than $10 million.
Dent's expertise in organizational processes was sought after by various prestigious organizations, including The Royal Bank of Canada, the United States Navy, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation. In 1993, Dent founded his own consulting company, Always Improvement, which specializes in process improvement and development.
In recent years, Dent has focused on team building, strategic management, conflict resolution, overall quality control, leadership development, and other related tasks. He completed a Master of Business Administration degree in Organizational Behavior and Development, with a specialization in finance.
