Early Career and NHL Draft
Born in Canada, the professional hockey player entered the NHL scene after being selected in the 4th round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He made his debut with the team in the 2000/01 season.
A Career on the Move
Over the next decade, the player experienced several trades and short-term contracts with different NHL teams. He was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006, Atlanta Thrashers in 2007, Minnesota Wild in 2007, Washington Capitals in 2010, and Phoenix Coyotes in 2010/11.
Edmonton Oilers and KHL Adventure
In 2011, he signed a three-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers, but the team bought out his contract two years later. In 2013, he made a brief move to the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), signing with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.
Retirement and Legacy
After just seven games with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, the player announced his retirement from hockey on September 25, 2013, ending a decade-long NHL career marked by numerous team transfers.
