Biography of Pavel Francouz

Pavel Francouz is a Czech professional ice hockey player who currently serves as a goaltender for the Traktor Chelyabinsk team in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He began his career in his hometown of Plzen, Czech Republic, as a player for the youth team Lasselsberger in 2005.

Early Career

In the same year, Francouz started playing for various Czech national youth teams. He made his debut for the main team of Lasselsberger (later renamed Plzen 1929) in the 2008-2009 season. However, in the 2011-2012 season, he only played one game for the Ocelari Trinec team, where he conceded four goals in 40 minutes of game time. He spent most of his time playing in lower Czech leagues during this period.

Professional Success

In the 2012-2013 season, Francouz signed a contract with the Litvinov team, where he solidified his position as the team's starting goaltender. He also represented the Czech Republic at the 2013 World Championship. He was called up as the third goaltender for the 2014 World Championship.

Joining Traktor Chelyabinsk

On April 30, 2015, Francouz signed a three-year contract with the Traktor Chelyabinsk team in Russia's KHL. He has since become an integral part of the team and has showcased his skills as a talented goaltender.
