Sporting CP Debut and Goal
Dier's professional career began at Sporting CP, where he made his first-team debut in November 2012. He marked the occasion with an assist and scored his debut goal a few weeks later.
Tottenham Hotspur
In August 2014, Dier joined Tottenham Hotspur on a five-year contract. He made his Premier League debut and scored the winning goal in his first game against West Ham United.
Midfield Conversion
Starting in the 2015/16 season, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino converted Dier into a defensive midfielder, a role he has consistently filled ever since.
International Career
