Early Life and Education

Erik Anthony Stromer was born on April 28, 1961, in Evanston, Illinois. As a child, he excelled in sports, particularly football and track, and also participated in theater productions and talent shows.

Inspired by his passion for the arts, Stromer enrolled in the University of Colorado Boulder's theater program. However, financial struggles forced him to drop out after just a week. Unable to return home, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery in construction.

Rise in Construction

Over the next four years, Stromer honed his skills in construction, working on various projects throughout Colorado. His attention to detail, design aesthetic, and impressive craftsmanship caught the attention of many celebrities.

In 1993, Stromer founded his own construction company, Big House Construction. The company quickly gained recognition, with clients including Mel Gibson, Elijah Wood, Jasmine Guy, Dylan McDermott, and Sally Field. He also remodeled his own parents' home, showcasing his exceptional abilities.

Venturing into Show Business

While his construction business thrived, Stromer's love for entertainment remained. He began acting in short films and independent movies, which were featured at film festivals in Sundance and Houston.

His short film, "The Acting Thing," which he produced, composed music for, and starred in, won Best Short Film Comedy at the Houston Film Festival. Stromer also contributed songs and composed music for several films, including "The Wild Side" with Christopher Walken.

Country Music Debut

In 2008, Stromer released his debut country album, featuring some of Nashville's top musicians. His music has garnered praise for its authentic storytelling and infectious melodies.
