Gymnastics Career

In 1994, Blanchard began her gymnastics journey by joining her school's program. With the unwavering support of her mother, she quickly excelled, becoming the top gymnast in her school and consistently representing them at interscholastic competitions. Her favorite apparatus was the vault, showcasing her exceptional jumping abilities.

In 2006, Blanchard made a significant decision to retire from competitive gymnastics due to the demanding training schedule and strained relationship with her coach. However, in late 2007, the Olympic Committee approached her with an opportunity to represent the United States at the 2008 Beijing Games. Flattered by the offer, Blanchard resumed training and regained her skills within a month.
