Early Life and Career:Erling Haaland, a Norwegian football prodigy, was born in Leeds, England in 2000. His father, Alf-Inge Haaland, played for Manchester City and inspired his son's passion for the sport. At the tender age of five, he set a world record in long jump for his age category. Returning to Norway at age three, Haaland began his football journey at the local academy in Bryne. His father provided extensive individual training, laying the foundation for his exceptional talent.
Club Career:
Norway (2016-2018)Haaland's professional debut came with Bryne in Norway's second-tier league at the age of 15. He signed with Molde in 2017, where he made his Norwegian league debut in June of that year. In the 2018 season, he emerged as a key player, scoring 16 goals in 30 appearances. He was named the league's "Breakthrough of the Year."
Red Bull Salzburg (2019)
In August 2018, Haaland joined Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg. His prolific scoring continued, including a stunning hat-trick in his Champions League debut against Belgian club Genk. He became the first player to score six goals in his first three Champions League matches.
