Early Career
Ashkhin Gulievis an Azerbaijani footballer who plays as a midfielder for Azerbaijan First Division club Karadag. He began his professional career in Georgia in 2005, playing for the Tbilisi-based club Olimpik under the guidance of coach Tomaz Dodashvili.
Move to Azerbaijan
In 2007, Guliev moved to Azerbaijan and joined Azerbaijani Premier League club Neftchi Baku. He initially played for the club's reserve team, Neftchi-2, but was occasionally called up to the senior squad.
Rise to First Team
From April 2009 onwards, Guliev became a regular player in Neftchi's starting lineup. In July 2007, he was included in the squad for the UEFA Cup match between Neftchi and Austrian club Ried.
European Debut
Guliev made his European debut on July 26, 2008, in the second leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup between Neftchi and Romanian club Vaslui.
International Career
Guliev represented Azerbaijan at the youth levels (U-17 and U-19). He played for the Azerbaijan U-21 team, wearing the number 10 jersey. In November 2008, he was called up to the full national team for a friendly match against Albania, but he was unable to participate due to illness.
