Biography of Ethan Coen
Ethan Coen, a producer, screenwriter, director, and actor, was born on September 21, 1957, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA. He attended Princeton University, where he studied philosophy. After college, Ethan Coen, together with his brother Joel, began working in the film industry. Initially, they wrote scripts, and Joel worked as an editor on several low-budget films.
Although Ethan is credited as a producer and Joel as a director in all of their films, their movies are truly a collaborative effort. Their breakthrough came with the film "Blood Simple" (1984), followed by the success of "Raising Arizona" (1987), starring Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter. Their next film, "Barton Fink" (1991), won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and their subsequent film, "Fargo," achieved similar acclaim. One of their most notable works is the film "The Big Lebowski" (1998).
