Biography of Eva Tiamat Medusa
Eva Tiamat Medusa, formerly known as Richard Hernandez, was a former vice president of a bank who underwent a transformation into a reptile. Born in Bruni, Texas, Eva claimed the title of the "most modified transgender person in the world." After receiving devastating news of being HIV-positive, Eva decided to transform herself into a reptilian creature with a split tongue, scales, and horns, as she did not want to die as a human.
In 1997, when Eva was still Richard Hernandez and working as a vice president at a prominent American bank, her life took a drastic turn. The discovery of her HIV infection not only led her to leave the corporate world but also compelled her to embark on strange and eerie transformations of her own body. Eva began her metamorphosis into a reptile, a desire she had harbored since her parents abandoned her at the age of five. She referred to her rebirth as a western diamondback rattlesnake.
Now 56 years old, Eva began her transformation with "simple" tattoos that covered her entire body. She then altered the shape of her nose, removed her ears, and dyed the whites of her eyes green. The "dragon lady" plans to spend an additional $40,000 on future "radical changes." She shared her story as part of the extraordinary project called "The Wizard of Odd TV," hoping that her journey would help others "break boundaries" as she did.
"For me, my transformation is the greatest adventure of my life," explains Tiamat. "What I am doing has significant meaning and profound reasons." She continues, "I have a dual origin. I have a mother who gave birth to me, but through my second birth, I owe my existence to reptilian parents – diamondback rattlesnakes." Eva hopes that her story will inspire others, not only those who have experienced difficult times but also those who have lost hope.
"I understand perfectly what it feels like," Eva adds. "Before my metamorphosis, I was a vice president at one of the largest banks in the USA, but I gave it all up when I learned about my HIV infection. I lived in fear of dying." Eva goes on to say, "However, what scared me the most was the thought of dying in this world essentially as a human being. Humans have so much wonder and goodness in them, but compared to other species, they manage to be the most destructive and inhumane."
"In that challenging period of my life, I decided it was time to change my existence. I wanted to look different from humans," Eva explains. "I grew eight horns on my forehead. I removed my ears, like most of my teeth. I tattooed my entire face. I also resorted to scarification and branding on my chest and wrists." She expresses her desire to start an open dialogue about body modification and what it means to live as a gay person for 53 years and then transition into being transgender.
"There are many misconceptions about what it means to be transgender, let alone the understanding of transitioning from one being to another," Eva explains. "I no longer consider myself an ordinary person. I am both human and reptilian." Her greatest wish is to continue modifying her body until her metamorphosis is complete. "This is what concerns me, what makes me wake up every day and continue living."
