Ukrainian Football Referee
Yevhen Abronsimov is a former Ukrainian football referee. He held the national category and officiated matches in the First and Second Leagues of the USSR.
Career in Ukraine
From 1992 to 1996, Abronsimov worked in the Second League of Ukraine. From 1996 to 1998, he officiated in the First League. In 1998, he began refereeing matches in the Ukrainian Championship, having previously worked at that level as a linesman.
UEFA Cup and Controversies
Abronsimov served as a fourth official in UEFA Cup matches. In October 2002, he was disqualified for one month by the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Football Federation of Ukraine for making two errors in the 11th round match of the 2002/03 Ukrainian Championship between Volyn and Obolon.
Retirement and Post-Career
In 2009, Abronsimov officiated his last match in the Ukrainian Premier League, having officiated 119 games over his career. Since 2011, he has served as an inspector for the Football Federation of Ukraine.
Other Roles
Abronsimov is a businessman in the agricultural sector. He was the head of the Referee Committee of the Football Federation of the Odessa Oblast from 2005 to 2011. He is also a vice-president of the Football Federation of the Odessa Oblast.
