Biography of Evgeniy Kemerovsky

Evgeniy Kemerovsky, a singer and music producer, is known for his artistic and emotional music videos. Each of his videos is like a small movie, some of which were filmed in the USA and Germany, following the best Hollywood traditions.

Early Life and Education

Evgeniy Kemerovsky was born on August 8, 1962, in the mining settlement "Novy Gorodok" near the city of Belovo in the Kemerovo region. His grandmother taught him how to play the guitar and piano, and from 1974 to 1979, he attended a children's music school, specializing in classical guitar, which he completed with honors. By the age of 14, he was already performing at dance events with amateur groups. Kemerovsky pursued his education at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports in Smolensk from 1980 to 1984, specializing in freestyle wrestling. He furthered his education at the Academy of Sports in Moscow from 1988 to 1990.

In 1991 and 1992, he attended the School of Arts in Berlin, specializing in directing and screenwriting.

Success and Recognition

Evgeniy Kemerovsky gained success and recognition in 1995 after the release of his debut album "Moy brat" (My Brother). This album was dedicated to his twin brother, Aleksandr Yakovlev, a well-known Soviet champion in freestyle wrestling. Tragically, Aleksandr passed away in a car accident near Moscow on December 1, 1992. The loss of his brother caused Kemerovsky to go through a three-year period of struggle and grief. During this time, he immersed himself in watching films, sometimes up to five or six a day. Eventually, he found solace in the studio, where he created an album in memory of his brother. The songs from this album, such as "Podarite mne vecher v Moskve" (Give Me an Evening in Moscow) and "Bratva, ne strelayte drug druga" (Brotherhood, Don't Shoot Each Other), quickly became famous.

Kemerovsky also writes songs for other artists, such as Boris Moiseev's "Glukhonemaya lyubov" (Deaf-Mute Love), Katya Lel's "Ya po tebe skuchayu" (I Miss You), "Zimnie dozhd" (Winter Rains), "Papa i mama" (Mom and Dad), "Talisman," and many others. Despite not being brought into the show business scene, Kemerovsky's incomparable work ethic allowed him to achieve fame. He once said in an interview, "In show business, you either submit or dictate your own terms. I don't know how to submit, so I strive for everything in life myself."

Continued Success

Kemerovsky's music videos are known for their artistic storytelling, eventfulness, and emotional impact. Some were even filmed in the USA and Germany, following the best Hollywood traditions. Since 1996, Kemerovsky has been supported by the company "PolyGram Russia," which ensures the release of his albums and the broadcasting of his music videos on "BIZ-TV," significantly contributing to his popularity. Kemerovsky's signature cap has also played a role in his recognition, as he consistently wears it to public events. In the late 1990s, Kemerovsky explored the rhythms of boogie-woogie and 60s-70s rock-n-roll, which further broadened his appeal.

In 1998, Kemerovsky focused on releasing new songs and released another album. He also embarked on a large-scale nationwide tour called "Nad sibirskoy taygoy" (Above the Siberian Taiga), which concluded with concerts at the State Kremlin Palace in March 1999.

Today, Kemerovsky continues to work on his music career. He has three albums planned for release, which he has been working on for over five years: "Babochki" (Butterflies), "Berega" (Shores), and "Okhota na volkov" (Wolf Hunt). Additionally, he is involved in various other projects, such as writing the screenplay for the film "Galeriya" (Gallery) by Olga Palidis, producing an album for Katya Lel called "Talisman," and assisting emerging singer Liza with her album "Proshly vek" (The Past Century), with a music video budget of $150,000. He also serves as an art director for his good friend Igor Korzh, a well-known Ukrainian chanson singer.

Kemerovsky plans to embark on a world tour, performing in more than 20 countries.
