Yevgeny Kryzhanovsky, a renowned Belarusian humorist, actor, and director, was born in 1955 in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. His early years were spent in Kozelsk, Russia, where he completed his schooling. After brief stints as a stagehand at the Tula Drama Theater, he embarked on his acting career at the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute in 1973.

In 1977, Kryzhanovsky joined the prestigious Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater, where he showcased his exceptional acting skills. In 1986, he co-founded the satirical theater "Khristofor" alongside Vladimir Pertsev and Yuri Lesnoy.
