Biography of Evgeny Goryansky
Evgeny Ivanovich Goryansky was a Soviet football player and football coach. He was born on February 28, 1929, in Moscow. Goryansky began his football career as a player for the Moscow Dynamo youth team. He later played for DO Lviv and Moscow Lokomotiv.
Playing Career
Goryansky's playing career was marked by his time at Moscow Lokomotiv, where he had his best two seasons. However, his promising career was cut short by a serious injury that ended his playing future as a speedy right forward.
Coaching Career
At the age of 28, Goryansky transitioned into coaching. Throughout his career, he served as the head coach for various clubs, including Minsk Dynamo, Moscow Dynamo, Leningrad Zenit, Zarya (Luhansk), Zvezda (Kirovohrad), Sudostroitel (Mykolaiv), Desna (Chernihiv), and Dynamo (Makhachkala). He also worked with Kiev Dynamo, Lviv Karpaty, and Moscow Lokomotiv.
International Recognition
In 1973, Goryansky had the honor of being the head coach of the Soviet Union national team.
Accomplishments
Goryansky was recognized for his contributions to the sport, earning the titles of Honored Coach of the Ukrainian SSR, Honored Coach of the Byelorussian SSR, and Honored Coach of the Russian SSR.
