Early Life and Education

Egraf Duluman, born under the surname Doloman, spent his formative years in Lyubashevsk secondary school. As a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, he enrolled in the Odessa Theological Seminary in 1945 and later became a student at the Moscow Theological Academy in 1947. In 1951, he earned his Master of Divinity degree.

Departure from Religion

Duluman's religious journey took a significant turn in 1952 when he severed ties with faith. He ventured into the agricultural sector and subsequently obtained a degree from the Odessa Credit and Economics Institute in 1956.

Advocacy for Scientific Atheism

From 1958 onwards, Duluman became a prolific figure in the domain of scientific atheism. His writings and lectures on anti-theistic themes attracted widespread attention. On December 30, 1959, he was excommunicated from the Church by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Academic Career

Duluman's academic pursuits culminated in a Candidate of Philosophy degree in 1964 for his dissertation on the concept of God. In 1975, he attained a Doctor of Philosophy degree after presenting his monograph, "Religion as a Socio-Historical Phenomenon." He held various positions, including a referent for the "Knowledge" society, a university professor, and the head of the Department of Scientific Atheism at the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.

Current Appointments

Presently, Duluman imparts wisdom to students of sociology at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, teaching subjects such as the history of philosophy and religious studies.
