Biography of Faith Ford
Early Life and CareerFaith Alexis Ford was born on September 14, 1964, in Alexandria, Louisiana, USA. She grew up in Pineville, a neighboring town to Alexandria, where she began her acting career in the local high school. At the age of 17, Faith moved to New York City and entered the modeling industry, as well as finding work in advertising. In 1983, Ford landed her first television role in the ABC series "One Life to Live" as Muffy Critchlow. Her breakthrough role came in the NBC soap opera "Another World," where she portrayed Julia Shearer for several years.

Hollywood and Television Success
After leaving the role in "Another World," Ford relocated to Hollywood and secured a recurring role in the short-lived sitcom "Popcorn Kid." She later gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Corky Sherwood in the television series "Murphy Brown." After airing for nine years, the show ended, and Ford began working in television movies. In 1998, she became the executive producer of her own sitcom, "Maggie Winters," which had a short run. Ford also appeared in 32 episodes of the American sitcom "Norm" from 1999 to 2001.

Personal Life and Other Endeavors
Faith Ford was married to Robert Nottingham from 1989 to 1996. She then remarried her personal trainer/writer, Campion Murphy, in 1998. Ford and Murphy co-produced a short film titled "Citation of Merit," which was showcased at various film festivals representing the United States. Ford's sister, Devon O'Day, is a radio host, media company owner, and author. In addition to her acting career, Ford co-starred with Kelly Ripa in the sitcom "Hope & Faith," which aired for three seasons. In 2004, she released her own cookbook called "Cooking with Faith," featuring her mother and grandmothers as the inspirations for her childhood culinary adventures. Ford has also appeared in films such as Disney's "The Pacifier" in 2005 and the romantic drama "A Kiss at Midnight" in 2008.

In 1991, Ford was named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People" in the prestigious People magazine. The actress currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two dogs.
