Felipe Calderon Inohosa: Biography
Felipe Calderon Inohosa was born on August 18, 1962, in the city of Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. He comes from a family of activists from the National Action Party (PAN), which exposed him to the political sphere from an early age.
Calderon pursued a career in law and also studied economics. He completed his graduate studies in Public Administration at Harvard University in the United States.
In his early years, Calderon held various positions of responsibility within the party structures of the PAN. From 1996 to 1999, he served as the chairman of the party.
Calderon's government experience includes serving as the director of the National Development Bank and later as the Minister of Energy.
In 2006, Calderon ran as the candidate of the ruling right-conservative National Action Party (PAN) in the presidential elections. He was elected as the President of Mexico for a six-year term, with no possibility of re-election. His presidency was set to last until November 30, 2012.
Felipe Calderon Inohosa is known for being a hardworking individual and a devoted family man. He is a father to three children.
